Tata Nano To Get A Bigger Engine in 2013
Tata Motors is currently employed on boosting the Nano's engine displacement. Industry sources are reporting that in 2013, the Nano petrol will be offered with a 800cc engine. Currently, the Nano is powered by a 38PS 624cc petrol engine.
Come 2013, the Nano will also rise and shine in CNG and diesel avatars. Tata Motors will be looking at doling out the Nano with an upmarket feel. In the coming years, the Nano will witness stiff competition from Renault and Datsun entry level budget cars in India.
In addition, the 800cc Nano is said to receive styling and equipment upgrades. Is the Nano looking to compete with the entry level Hyundai Eon and Maruti Alto 800? We hope not, as that would become a disaster in terms of sales.
Tata Nano 800cc (Petrol) Expected Price: INR 2.5 lakhs
