Renault Duster's UK Price Announced

Renault's European subsidiary Dascia has revealed the price of the much awaited SUV Duster in the UK. The Dascia Duster as it is branded in the UK is available with a starting price of £8,995 which is equivalent to Rs.8 lakhs in the current exchange rates. This is an impressive price tag indeed. However it remains to be seen if Renault mimic's the Duster's UK price in India too.

The Dascia Duster's launch has been scheduled at the prestigious Goodwood Festival Of Speed. The event attracts thousands of automobile fans and is considered as a fitting location for the launch of the Dascia Duster. Dascia UK had earlier started taking bookings for the Duster and was charging £100.

People who have booked the Duster are being given trial runs in a left hand drive version that has been built in Europe. The Duster to be sold in the UK will be made in India and will be a right hand drive vehicle. The Dascia Duster's price can be considered as a possible bench mark for the Renault Duster's price in India.

The Duster will be available with a 1.6-litre four cylinder engine that can deliver 105bhp and 148Nm of torque. The Duster's diesel engine is a 1.5-litre four cylinder unit capable of delivering 110bho and 240Nm of torque.

Renault's five seater SUV is considered as an entry level SUV with minimal features in the UK. The Renault Duster to be sold in India is expected to have slightly lesser features than the Dascia Duster. Reports say the Dascia will have more safety features to comply with European safety standards.

The Dascia Duster will be available in three trim levels - Access, Ambience and Laureate.
