Renault Duster SUV Set For Launch Tomorrow
One of the most exciting product launch from French carmaker Renault, the Duster SUV will hit the roads tomorrow. The official launch programme is scheduled to be held in New Delhi and Mumbai.
Meanwhile, reports are that dealers have already started taking bookings even before announcing the price of the Duster. The Renault Duster which is expected to be priced below Rs 10 lakhs will be available in 5 variants, two petrol and three diesel variants.
The Duster will be available with a 1.6-litre four cylinder engine that can deliver 105bhp and 148Nm of torque. The Duster's diesel engine is a 1.5-litre four cylinder unit capable of delivering 110bho and 240Nm of torque.
While the petrol model of the Duster claims a fuel economy of 13.24 kmpl, the diesel model boasts an exceptional mileage of 20.46 kmpl, according to data surfaced on the web. Key features include ABS, EBD and brake assist on select variants, tilt steering, keyless entry, rear AC vents, reverse parking sensors, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, 2DIN audio with USB and bluetooth support, steering mounted audio and phone controls, optional leather pack.
One big advantage of the Duster SUV is that it won't have a straight competitor. The only competitors for the Renault Duster in the same price range are Mahindra Scorpio and Bollero SUVs. But these SUVS are doubtful to match the quality and fuel efficiency of the Duster.
The Duster was recently launched in the UK under the Dacia brand at a price tag of £8,995 which is equivalent to Rs.8 lakhs. Renault India hopes the Duster to change its fortunes in the car market which they could not help with the previous products.
