Renault Duster Review - Design, Specs, Features
The Petrol variant of the Renault Duster is powered by a 1.6 litre K4M engine that generates 102 hp of power at 5,850 rpm and 145 Nm of torque at 3,750 rpm. The motor is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and offers a mileage of 13.24 kmpl.
Meanwhile, the diesel engine is available with two power options. The lesser powered RxE and RxL diesel variants are powered by a 1.5 dCi K9K HP engine which generates 85 hp of power at 3,750 rpm and 200 Nm at 1,900 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and delivers best in class fuel economy of 20.45 kmpl.

The bigger diesel model is powered by a 1.5 K9K THP dCi diesel unit that produces 108 hp of power at 3,900 rpm and 248 Nm of torque at 2,250 rpm. The powertrain is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and offers an excellent mileage of 19.01 kmpl, as confirmed by ARAI.
The exterior of the Renault Duster sports decent styling with 16"aluminium wheels, double barrel headlights, stylish roof rail, chrome finish radiator grille, lateral bars and muscular, elegant wheel arches. Though the SUV looks a little bulky, an excellent turning radius of of 5.2 m makes handling an entirely easy task.
On the interior, the 5-seater SUV provides ample cabin space for passengers. The Duster offers carrying capacity of 1,064 litre and 475 litre of cargo space. The SUV also provides an array of quality features which are top class - reverse-parking sensor, key-less entry with answer back function, on-board trip computer with multi-functional displays and rear defogger and wipers for better visibility.
The Duster also offers brilliant safety features like Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) with Brake Assist and a Monocoque body with side impact beams. The Duster comes in both two wheel and four wheel guise.
Renault claims that the company has ramped up dealer and after sales network to reach out to customers in India. The SUV will be available in six exciting colours through Renault showrooms across the country.
