Petrol Prices Cut By 95p; City Wise Prices
Petrol prices have been cut by 95 paise effective from Thursday, 15th November. The new petrol prices were cut following a drop in international crude prices. Oil companies had previously reduced petrol prices by 56 paise on October 9.
The price of petrol change in different cities due to different local sales tax and VAT. Here is a city wise break up of how much petrol will cost following the cut in prices.

Delhites will now have to pay Rs.67.24 for a litre of petrol from Rs.68.19 a litre.
People in Mumbai will now have to pay Rs.1.20 lesser for a litre of petrol at Rs.73.53.
The cost of petrol on Kolkota has been cut by Rs.1.19 effectively bringing the petrol price to Rs.74.55 a litre.
There is only a marginal reduction in petrol price in Chennai at Rs.1.20. Petrol will cost Rs.70.57 from the previous Rs.71.77 a litre.
The Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) in its statement has said the relatively low crude oil prices in the international market helped it reduce petrol price. IOC has subtly indicated that the cut in petrol prices will not be for long as it stated the it was regularly monitoring crude oil prices as well as exchange rates of the Indian Rupee versus the US dollar.
At times oil companies have been forced to increase petrol prices despite no increase in international crude oil prices but only because of reduced value of the Rupee against the Dollar.
