November Car Sales 2012 – Compiled Report
The automobile industry is still under pressure considering the sales reports coming in from the major players such as Hyundai, Tata Motors, Toyota and Ford. But there are some exceptions as Maruti Suzuki and Mahindra have managed to post sizable improvements in November 2012.
Car makers have already announced discount offers and savings for December hoping to improve sales. With price hikes expected after December, sales are expected to drop in the new year. Have a look at how each of them have performed in November 2012.

Maruti Suzuki November Sales
Maruti Suzuki, India's leading carmaker has posted a 12% increase in November 2012 after selling 1,03,200 units. Maruti Suzuki's exports stood at 12,318 units while domestic sales rose 8.67 per cent to 90,882 units. The Ertiga continued it impressive performance along with the Swift DZire sedan.

Hyundai November Car Sales
Maruti Suzuki's closest competitor Hyundai did not enjoy a great November in 2012. The South Korean company posted a 2.29% drop in sales after selling 55,762 units as against the 57,071 cars it had sold in November 2011.

Mahindra November 2012 Sales Up 38%
Mahindra, India's largest utility vehicle manufacturer has continued its upward journey in the sales chart in November 2012. Mahindra has registered an 38% increase in sales of passenger vehicles this November after selling 24,604 units. The new Quanto compact SUV is being credited for Mahindra's November sales performance.

Tata Motors, India's largest vehicle manufacturer saw a 13% dip in its November sales. The company saw a decline in sales of its entire model range. It is looking at its recently launched cars the Tata Safari Storme and the Tata Manza Club Class to boost its fortunes.

Japanese carmaker Toyota has posted a massive 25.82% dip in November 2012 sales after selling 10,252 units. The company has blamed a plant shut down for its drop in sales.

Ford Figo
Ford, the American carmaker has posted a 28.57% drop in November sales after managing to sell 5,944 units. Ford has recently launched a facelifted version of its best selling car Figo.
