Mercedes Benz Launches ML 350 CDI At Rs 56.9 Lakhs
Mercedes Benz India has rolled out the 2012 upgraded ML 350 at Rs 56.9 lakhs. The new M Class was spotted at some of the showrooms in the country even before its launch.
The new ML Class offers larger dimensions, enhanced performance and fuel efficiency. The M Class is on offer in two versions, a 100 unit limited AMG kit packed variant priced at Rs 66 lakhs and the standard variant with usual kit priced at Rs 56.9 lakhs (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).
Mercedes Benz officials informed at the event in Delhi that the standard model will be available after July. The ML 350CDI is powered by a 3.0-litre diesel engine that generates 258.33PS @ 3600rpm and an impressive torque of 620Nm between 1,600-2,400rpm.
The big engine which is mated to 7-G Tronic Plus automatic transmission is capable of reaching 100KMPH in just 7.4 seconds before hitting a top speed of 224 KMPH. On the fuel economy side, the new M-Class comes with an electric power steering, low-rolling-resistance tires and automatic stop/start systems which all help the SUV munch more miles.
The 2012 M Class is also high on additional features with the car getting intelligent light system, night view assist plus with automatic person recognition, speed limit assist, lane keeping assist, blind spot assist, distronic plus adaptive cruise control, active park assist, reverse camera and autonomous braking.
The best in class safety pack of the ML Class include nine airbags for a person, attention assist drowsiness detection, pre-safe pre-collision protection, tire-pressure monitor, adaptive brake lights and electronic brake assist. Active park assist, airmatic air suspension, 20 inch AMG alloys and body kit, easy pack tailgate and mini spare wheel are some of the other features in the new ML Class
Meanwhile, the first batch of ML Class SUVs will come as Completely Built Units (CBU). It is to be seen if the 2012 ML Class could live up to the expectations of Mercedes Benz and beat the sales of rivals; BMW X5, Audi Q7, Porsce Cayenne.
