Maruti Suzuki Readying Facelifted A Star
The desing changes of the A Star comes in the way a of an impressive front end with dynamic headlamps, new front grill and restyled bumpers. There has been no big changes to the side profile of the car.
The styling changes of the front part follow to the rear as well. The car gets new tail lamps and a new rear bumper. Both the front and rear bumbers of the A Star gets a sporty touch.
The A Star gets petrol power from a 3 cylinder, 1 Liter K-Series engine that generates peak power of 67 Bhp and end tourque at 90 Nm. The power train is mated to a 5 speed transmission.
Though the car has been fuel efficient and providing goof performance, it has not been doin great for Maruti Suzuki in terms of sales. The reason for the poor sales of the A Star could be the insufficiently spaced cabin and the comparitiviley high price of the car.
However, there has been no clarification from Maruti Suzuki about the launch of the facelifted A Star in India. The hatchback is available at a starting price of Rs 3.73 lakhs.
