Maruti Alto 800 On Road Images

Here is the first look of the Alto 800 from Motorbeam.com's test drive.

The side profile of the Alto 800 indicates a slightly increased head room when compared with the Alto and the Maruti 800.

Maruti Suzuki will launch the new Alto 800 on October 16th. The carmaker has already started receiving bookings for the hatchback.

The new Alto 800 is powered by a new 800cc engine developed exclusively by Maruti Suzuki India. It is able to churn out 47.5bhp of power and 69Nm of torque.

Maruti Suzuki not worked too hard to make the Alto 800's interior look special. Nor surprising considering the new car will only be an entry level small car priced around Rs.3 lakhs.

As you will notice in this picture, the new Alto 800's engine will be paired with a five speed manual gearbox. The fifth gear will help maintain high fuel economy on the highway. Maruti Suzuki has claimed an ARAI certified fuel economy of 22.7kmpl.

Here is a look at the Alto 800's boot. The luggage space will be sufficient for a small family's trips and shopping requirements. However, buyers will not have this space in the CNG variant as this space will be taken over by the CNG fuel tank.
