Mahindra Quanto Gets 10k Bookings In 2 Months
Mahindra has announced that it has received over 10,000 bookings from customers for its newly launched compact and versatile SUV Quanto within 2 months of launch. Bookings for the Quanto had opened across India from September 21st, 2012.
Quanto, the first compact SUV from Mahindra, is a sub 4 meter compact SUV that can be used conveniently for city drives as well as for weekend drives outside the city. In less than 2 months, the Quanto has generated a lot of buzz within the digital as well as traditional media, in addition to garnering positive reviews from auto enthusiasts. The price range of the Quanto starts from Rs. 5.82 lac to Rs.7.36 lac (Ex showroom Thane)*.
Speaking on the response to the Quanto, Pravin Shah, Chief Executive - Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, "We are delighted that the Quanto has received over 10,000 bookings in a span of 2 months and we are thankful to our customers for this overwhelming response. This strengthens our belief that the Quanto will create a new category within the SUV segment with its unique value proposition. We are confident of meeting the demand for the Quanto and are in the process of ramping up our production capacity at Nashik towards the same".
The Quanto is the latest vehicle to be launched by India's leading UV manufacturer - Mahindra.
The Quanto is shorter than four metres and yet it has seating for seven people.
The Quanto is priced between Rs.5.82 lakhs and Rs.7.36 lakhs.

The compact SUV, Quanto is loaded with many high-end technology features like Digital Drive Assist System, Micro Hybrid Start Stop System, 1.5 litre-100 BHP m CR 100 engine with twin turbochargers, Intellipark Reverse Assist, 2 DIN music system with CD, MP3, USB & Aux in, etc. The Quanto also comes loaded with safety features like ABS with EBD, dual airbags, high speed warning, engine immobilizer etc.
Launched on 20th September, the Quanto is designed and developed in-house by Mahindra on the robust, proven and highly successful Ingenio platform. It is a direct outcome of customer insights pointing to the need for a compact and affordable SUV. Starting with its imposing and robust front fascia, along with the macho and rugged design, the Quanto perfectly embodies the aggressive stance of an SUV.
The chunky alloy wheels, stylish rear stepney and sporty roof rails add to this SUV's stature and character. All this makes the Quanto a real head turner on the road. This versatile and compact SUV is powered by a state-of-the-art 1.5 litre mCR100 engine, which is the newest Common Rail Diesel engine in Mahindra's SUV portfolio.
