Lamborghini Unveils Aventador Roadster

The Lamborghini Aventador Roadster is a rear engined car like many other iconic Lamborghinis. It is powered by a massive 6.3-litre V12 engine that churns out 700bhp of power and 690Nm of torque.

The Aventador Roadster has breathtakingly fast. It can accelerate to 100kmph within 3 seconds and move on to a top speed of a mind blowing 350kmph.

Lamborghini engineers have worked hard to make the Aventador Roadster not only a looker but also an easy to use convertible. The Aventador's predecessor, the Murcielago's soft top was considered by many as a difficult contraption. The Aventador's carbon fibre roof is light and weights just about 6 kilos.

The new roof has lead to mild changes to the Aventador's design. The sports convertible's rear pillar had to be redesigned to accommodate the roof. The rear wind shield can be moved up or down depending on how much sound the driver wants in the cabin.

Lamborghini has highlighted the craftsmanship involved in making the Aventador Roadster's interiors. It has used a new leather named as Sabbia Nefertem that has been hand stitched by skilled workers.

The new Lamborghini Aventador Roadster will be on show in several international auto shows in the coming days. The car is expected to be launched in Europe in summer 2013.

The Aventador is expected to be launched in India in the later half of 2013

Lamborghini has not announced the price of the Aventador Roadster. Expect the price to be upwards of Rs.4 crores when it is launched in India.
