Jaguar India Launches Special Edition XKR At 1.27C
Jaguar has said the special edition XKR will be available in both coupe and convertible form. The new XKR has sumptuous interiors with the seats, instrument binnacle, door and rear quarter casings being finished in scraffito grain leather.
In combination with Poltrona Frau® leather head linings, new veneer finished in Shadow Walnut and standard features including a 525W Bowers & Wilkins sound system, 16 by 16 way adjustable heated Performance seats, a heated steering wheel and keyless entry/start, each Special Edition model promises a heightened level of opulence and comfort. The XKR Special Edition also gets new treadplates and stainless steel pedals as additional discreet enhancements.
Jaguar has also made changes to the XKR's exterior look. The XKR special edition will be available in six colours which will include the exclusive Special Edition colour of Celestial Black. Crystal Blue, Lunar Grey, Polaris White, Rhodium Silver and Ultimate Black are the other standard colours.
The special edition XKR is powered by a five litre direct-injection supercharged V8 petrol engine that can churn out 510PS of power. The engine is mated to a six speed automatic transmission. Jaguar which uses aluminium extensively in its construction has said the XKR is very light and yet strong. This enables the car to reach high speeds with minimal effort.
