Indian Tuner Makes An Evoque From Tata Safari
The image that you are seeing is not that of a Range Rover Evoque, but a modified Tata Safari. This car has been modified by Delhi based car tuner Big Daddy Customs. The car has been named as the Moon Rover and is not an exact replica of the Evoque.
The Range Rover Evoque is one of the best selling models for Land Rover globally. Currently being sold in India as a CBU, the Evoque costs between Rs.52 lakhs to Rs.67 lakhs. However you could own this Evoque clone the Safari based Moon Rover for a fraction of its price.
Big Daddy Customs has stated that the Tata Safari can be modified to look like the Evoque with a starting budget of Rs.2.5 lakhs. The company in its post on Facebook has stated that the job of converting the Safari will need 3 to 4 months.
So if you are impressed by the modified Tata Safari aka Moon Rover and would like to have one, here is how you can do it. Buy a new Tata Safari or a used one and drive down to Big Daddy Customs in Delhi. Pay the cash and wait to drive away in a Moon Rover.
A new Tata Safari costs between Rs.9 lakhs and Rs.15 lakhs. Hence the Moon Rover could cost any where between Rs.13 lakhs to Rs.18 lakhs considering any additional charges. If you are looking for a cheaper bargain you can start with buying a used Tata Safari which is in a good condition.
The Moon Rover might not be the perfect rendition of the Evoque but would you mind you are able to grab as many eye balls as the Evoque but still drive a car that costs about a third of the original?
