Hyundai To Launch Fluidic Elantra In November
South Korean carmaker Hyundai Motors is planning to launch the new fluidic Elantra in India by November this year. The new Elantra which was showcased in the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo had attracted much attention towards the car.
Reports are that the car has been found testing on the roads of Chennai. The Elantra is coming back to the Indian market after a gap of five years. The car which was introduced to the market in 2004 could not make a big impact on buyers.

The main attraction of the new Elantra is its head turning fluidic design with beautiful lines and curves. The interior also gets elegant design with a swoopy dash board and blue-lit dials in addition to a strong equipment list.
The new Elantra will be available in both petrol and diesel options with the petrol variant featuring a 1.8-litre, 146 BHP power train and the diesel getting a 1.8-litre common rail engine. The Elantra is expected to come with six-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmission options.
Expected to be priced between Rs 13 to 16 laks, the new Elantra will take on the likes of other D-segment sedans like Honda Civic, Chevrolet Cruze, Toyota Corolla, Skoda Laura, Volkswagen Jetta and Renault Fluence. The new Elantra which is on sale in several other markets has also won several accolades like including the North American Car The Year 2012 and Car of the Year 2012 at African Guild of Motoring Journalists.
