Hyundai Shifts Focus To Diesel Cars

Hyundai i10
Hyundai has been witnessing a constant slowdown in sales over the past three fiscal years. The company is now looking forward to bump up sales and for this the Korean manufacturer is looking to shift their focus completely to diesel cars.

Do you own a Hyundai diesel car or do you intend to own a diesel car? Hyundai is currently in second position behind Maruti Suzuki. It's clear that the company is working on getting to the No. 1 position in the coming days.

In order to do so Hyundai is looking at a complete game plan change. The company will focus more on diesel cars in the mass market segment. Hyundai will also be looking to bump-up the production capacity by three folds to cater to the demand.

Hyundai is clear on the mass market segment offerings. Currently Hyundai offers the Eon at the entry level, going up to the Santro Xing, i10 and i20. However, the company sure lacks a strong diesel portfolio in the Indian compact car market.

Hyundai in the coming days will be targeting at rolling out their compact cars with diesel engines. For the moment, only the i20 from the compact car portfolio is offered with a diesel engine.

Let's not forget, other manufacturers diesel models such as Chevrolet Beat, Ford Figo, Nissan Micra, Renault Pulse, Toyota Etios Liva and Maruti Swift are sure giving a headache to Hyundai. What can we expect from Hyundai or what would you like Hyundai to roll-out in the coming days. Do drop us a line!
