Honda to introduce Jazz (Fit) series in 2013
Honda has confirmed that it would introduce the next generation Jazz [Fit] series in India. However this new series will be offered in petrol. The big speculation around the Jazz being offered in diesel is out of the question, at-least for the moment.
Honda would initially roll out their diesel engines on the Brio Sedan which will make it in-roads into India by 2014.
Honda would also be launching a compact SUV based on Jazz. The compact SUV segment in India is growing at a rapid pace. Currently models such as Renault Duster, Mahindra Quanto and Premier Rio are getting good response.
Soon Ford will join the party with the Eco-sport and within two-years Honda is expected to launch the compact SUV based on the Jazz.
Honda sales in India are currently struggling. Honda is heavily depending on its small wonder Brio. The company in the coming weeks will launch an automatic Brio. Do you think Honda is heading down the right path or do they need to bring in the diesel variants and new models much quicker?
