GM To Launch Updated Spark On October 15

General Motors will join the list of carmakers launching new cars and updates during this year's festive season. Reports say a facelifted Spark will be launched on October 15 just a day before the launch of the new Maruti Suzuki Alto 800.

The Chevrolet Spark was launched five years ago and it is Chevrolet's entry level car available with a 1.0-litre petrol engine. The Chevrolet Spark's facelift is expected to be update to the front design of the hatchback. The technical titbits of the facelifted Spark including its engine, transmission and suspension will remain the same.

Coming to the design of the new Spark, it is expected to have a pointed nose, an aggressive grille and more chrome on the front. The design could be more close to the look of the Chevrolet e-Spark concept car that was displayed during the 2010 Delhi Auto Expo.

The Chevrolet Spark has been liked by customers for its hassle free 3 year free maintenance plan, clean interiors, space and handling. It is a perfect city car that is easy to drive even in heavy traffic.

The facelifted Chevrolet Spark will have an edgier look and it will soon get a Chevy grille, new headlights and fof lights. The Spark was the only car from Chevrolet that so far does not have a grille. As far as the changes to the interior in the new Spark, we expect some new colour options.

The Chevrolet Spark is available with a petrol engine and an LPG option. There is a possibility of GM India adding a CNG variant too.
