Ford Figo Getting A Mid Life Makeover
Ford Figo has been the highest selling car for the American carmaker and in an attempt to keep the car fresh, the company is giving a mild facelift to the small car. The car which was originally launched in 2010 has been placed straight against Maruti Suzuki's top selling Swift hatchback and Hyundai's i20.
According to reports, the new Figo will be getting a mild cosmetic makeover rather than any major technical changes. The current Figo that is being sold in the market itself is impressively designed and the facelift will add more aggressiveness to the small car.
The Figo is already loaded with features that are not available in its class and the carmaker is expected to fill the car with more features to make it more competitive. The Figo comes with ABS, EBD, Dashboard mounted boot opening button, Programmable remote locking system, Flip-fold down rear seat, Modern instrument cluster, Height adjustable driver seat, Integrated MP3 player with Bluetooth connectivity and AC with heater.
The Figo is available in both petrol and diesel guise with the petrol model getting a 1.2 Liter 70 Bhp engine and the diesel coming with a responsive 1.4 Liter TDCI turbo engine. The remarkable features of the car are its highly spacious cabin and excellent fuel economy.
The Figo which offers a mileage of 18.5 kmpl on the diesel model comes with a starting price of Rs 3.9 lakhs and Rs 5.2 lakhs for petrol and diesel models respectively. However, there has been no information about the launch of the facelifted Figo. We will have to wait till Ford reveals any details of the new Figo.
