Ford Figo Hatchback Getting A Mild Facelift

Ford Figo hatchback, the largest selling car for the American carmaker was launched in 2010. Now, the carmaker has decided to give the car a mid-career refresh in order to catch up with the new Maruti Suzuki Swift and the Hyundai i10. The carmaker was recently found testing the facelifted Figo hatchback on the highways of Chennai.

The facelifted car features a re-styled head lamp and a new colour theme (yellow) which has not been available on the Figo yet. It could be just a mild design makeover than any major changes in the new Figo, however, there has been no word on the new Figo from Ford yet.

Currently, the Ford Figo is available in 8 variants with both petrol and diesel options. While the petrol model comes with a starting price of Rs 3.9 lakhs, the diesel variant is available from a starting price of Rs 4.8 lakhs.

The Figo has been well received in the market with the car winning many accolades including the hatchback of the year award. The Figo small car features a responsive diesel engine that is high on frugality, great ride, excellent handling and a spacious cabin. The car also comes with a host of features like an adjustable-for-tilt steering, USB connect for the stereo and alloy wheels on the top end variant.

Reports say that the new Figo could feature the peppy 1.5 liter, 90 Bhp-200 Nm TDCI diesel engine that powers the Fiesta sedan. However, there is no information when the carmaker would launch the new Figo. Let's hope Ford makes an announcement on the Figo soon.
