Ford Ecosport Set For July 14 Launch In Brazil
The Ford EcoSport's Brazil launch is a much anticipated event in the South American country as the EcoSport's previous edition has been a great success. This could also be the reason behind Ford's decision to schedule the EcoSport's launch in Brazil instead of in India where it had its global debut.
The Ford EcoSport will also mark the debut of Ford's Ecoboost engine which is claimed to be powerful yet fuel efficient. The Ford EcoSport's launch in Brazil will be an event that we regret to miss as its launch had resembled a Samba party.
The Ford EcoSport will be available in three variants in Brazil - Freestyle, SE and Titanium. The Ford EcoSport's price in Brazil will start from 53,490 Real ( Rs.14.56 lakhs). The price might seem high but it is due to the high amount of taxes imposed on cars in Brazil. We expect Ford to give the Indian EcoSport a more competitive price considering how price conscious the market is.
The Ford EcoSport's Ecoboost engine will be its best selling point in India. The three cylinder engine can generate 120bhp and 170NM of torque. Ford claims this engine can deliver the best in class mileage. With diesel cars continuing to rule the market, The engine must deliver incredible performance to make a mark. Ford has said it will also launch the EcoSport with a diesel engine too when it launches the compact SUV in India.
