Conquest Launches Armourless Evade At Rs.8 Cr
The big daddy of SUVs has arrived in India. Conquest, the Canadian carmaker has launched its latest Evade armour-less SUV in India with a staggering price tag of Rs.8 crores. The Evade is the first vehicle from Conquest to come without armour.
Conquest is more famous for its Knight XV which is an armoured vehicle that can protect the user form a variety of bullets. The Conquest Evade is possibly an effort by the company to reach out to people who like to own such a car but do not require the extensive security features that are available in the Knight XV.

The Conquest Evade is powered by a massive 6.8litre V10 diesel engine capable of generating a peak power of 400bhp and a mouth water 2215 Nm of torque. Such power is essential to move a car that is almost two times the size of a Hummer. For those of you who do not like a diesel, the Conquest Evade is available with a petrol engine too. Do not ask us the mileage, we do not dare to know!
The Conquest Evade's price in India is a whopping Rs.8 crores. Such a huge price tag might make even the Ambanis think twice before buying. The Evade is sold in the US with a price tag of $590,000 which is about Rs.3.3 crores. But the 110% import tax and other taxes have ensured the Evade's price is at Rs.8 crores.
The Evade is one large car. If you were thinking the Hummer H2 was a big car, you need to see this one. With 400 cubic feet of space inside, a buyer can have anything he wants inside. The cars are custom built as per the needs of buyers. Conquest prices itself in hand building its cars with top quality materials.
The Evade is more of a civilian version of the Knight XV armoured car. Its exterior has been built using a mix of aluminium and steel making it might lighter then the Knight. Further, the design is slightly different with new front and rear bumpers, headlights and body panels. On the interior, you get leather seats, a huge number of gizmos such as night vision cameras, joy stick controlled search lights, touch screen equipped music system.
