Chevrolet Releases First Image Of Trax Compact SUV
Chevrolet has released the first image of its new Trax compact SUV. The Trax is set to make its debut at the Paris Motor Show in September.
The five-seater Trax SUV will take on the likes of the upcoming Ford EcoSport SUV which is readying for lndia launch sometime soon. The 4.2 metre long, muscular looking SUV is expected to go on sale in Europe by early 2013.
The Trax could be powered by Chevrolet’s 1.4-litre petrol and 1.3 and 1.7-litre diesel engines. The Trax would also be offered in front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions.
The carmaker may bring the Trax compact SUV to India soon after its launch in Europe considering the market market where SUVs are more preferred than sedans due to terrain condition. Expect the Chevrolet Trax to be priced somewhere between Rs 8-10 lakhs when launched in India.
