We have all seen James Bond Drive a BMW 7-Series using his mobile phone in the film Tomorrow Never Dies. If you thought such cars will not be available in the regular car showroom, then you are wrong. Chinese carmaker BYD has now launched a car named Su Rui that can be driven using a remote control.

The remote control car has been launched in China on August 21st. BYD has claimed that the Su Rui can be driven using the remote control when it is in a particular range. You can drive the car front, back, turn left or right at a restricted speed even while you are not inside the car. This feature is particularly useful when you want to park your car but do not have sufficient space to get out of the car.

The BYD Su Rui remote control car is useful during other situations too. If there is heavy rain and you want to avoid getting wet while going towards the car, you can get the car to come to you. You can also switch on the car's AC before you get inside the car on hot summer days.

BYD has claimed the Su Rui is the only product of its class with Remote Driving Control technology. The Remote Driving Control technology has won the Best Leading Science and Technology during the 2012 Beijing Auto Show. This modern midsize family car has set a new benchmark in the automobile industry.

The remote control technology is not the only feature in the BYD Su Rui. It comes equipped with several gizmos including high-security and entertainment devices Bosch 9th generation Electronic Stability Programme, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Electric Park Brake system, front right wheel blind spot visibility system, colour reversing video surveillance system, remote control power windows, 13 types of intelligent voice reminder and 5.1 channel 10 speaker with independent power amplifier and in-car cinema.

Looking in to its engine options, the BYD Su Rui is available with three engines - a 1.5-litre TID, 1.5-litre TI and a 1.5-litre TL. BYD has stated the Su Rui can accelerate to 100kmph within 8.9 seconds and consume 6.5litres of fuel to travel 100 kilometres.
