BMW To Launch 2013 X6 On November 22
BMW India continues its aggressive new product launch plans with the upcoming launch of the new 2013 X6 crossover. The German premium car leader will launch the new X6 in India on November 22 within a month of launching the 6-Series Gran Coupe.
The X6 is essentially a larger crossover than the X5. Its design is said to be a mix of the 5-Series sedan and the X5. The new 2013 BMW X6 Crossover sports new headlights that come with adaptive LED technology. Some of the other changes in the new 2013 X6 crossover are redesigned bumpers, new fog lamps, a redesigned front grille and new LED tail lights.

BMW has started yet another segment by calling the X6 a Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV). The front is similar to a high riding SUV while the rear design is similar to that of a coupe. The sloping roof provides the X6 a distinctive look and an appeal that can be said to be very polarizing.

BMW has not made any changes in the 2013 X6's interior. You can expect some slight changes like increased choice in terms of interior colours and fixtures.
BMW X6 Crossover Price In India
The current X6's diesel variant - the X6 XDrive 30d is priced at Rs.68.70 lakhs (ex showroom price New Delhi). Expect the new 2012 BMW X6 crossover to be priced slightly higher. The petrol variant, the X6 XDrive 501 is currently priced at Rs. 85.50 lakhs.
Looking in to the technical aspects of the X6, the 2013 edition will retain the 3 litre 235bhp diesel engine and the turbocharged 4.4-litre 407bhp petrol engine. Both engines will be mated to an eight speed automatic gearbox.
BMW is also planning to launch a power-packed M-version of the X6 called the M50d. As the name indicates, the 2013 BMW X6 M50d will be powered by a triple turbo 3-litre diesel engine that churns out 381bhp of power and 740Nm of torque. It is yet unclear if this variant will make it to Indian roads this November.
