Audi To Re-open Q3 Bookings With 500 More Units

The second phase of the Audi Q3 booking will also have 500 units. The Q3 is Audi's cheapest car in India and has been appreciated for its lively performance and long feature list. The Q3 competes against the likes of the BMW X1 and is slightly more expensive than its German counter part.
When Audi launched the Q3 in India it had announced it would be selling only 500 units initially. With all models being lapped up within days, it had no other option but to re-open the Q3's bookings. The Audi Q3's price in India starts at RS.26.41 lakhs while the higher end model is available at a price upwards of Rs.31.49 lakhs (ex-showroom price Delhi).
Audi has stated that it will reopen the Q3's bookings by the end of this month. The bookings are limited to just 500 units again as Audi is importing the Q3 as a completely built unit. Audi has added that it would soon begin CKD assembly of the Q3 in its Aurangabad plant which will help decrease the price of the Audi Q3 in India. This will also mean the Q3 will be cheaper the BMW X1 and will have more features once Audi starts building it in India.
The Audi Q3 comes with a 2.0 TDI engine that is found on a range of Audi models such as the A4, A6 sedans and Q5 crossover. The engine which produces peak power of 177bhp and a peak torque of 350 Nm is mated to a 7 speed dual clutch DSG automatic gearbox. Audi has also fitted the Q3 with the company's legendary Quattro all wheel drive system.
