Aston Martin's New Vanquish Replaces DBS

Aston Martin has unveiled its new Vanquish sports car. The new Vanquish replaces the DBS as the British sports car manufacturer's flagship model. This new Aston Martin is priced at 190,000 pounds or Rs.1.66 crores. The Vanquish's price in India is expected to be announced in some days.

The new Aston Martin Vanquish is powered by a breathtaking 565bhp V12 engine. The Vanquish can accelerate to 100kmph withing an incredible 4.1 seconds. Aston Martin has claimed the new Vanquish gets a significantly upgraded 6.0-litre V12 engine that is more powerful than before.

The Vanquish continues Aston Martin's tradition of building beautiful sports cars. Some of the design elements of the new Aston has been picked up from the One-77 super car. This is what Aston Martin had to say about the new Vanquish: "Unmistakably an Aston Martin, the design shows a clear and coherent lineage from its heritage while providing an equally clear pointer to the luxury car brand's vibrant future. Closer inspection reveals details such as the stunning new Aero Duct on the rear boot lid. This elegantly devised passive engineering feature, which counteracts lift at the car's rear when travelling at speed, is a triumph of both design and technical ability."

Aston Martin Chief Executive Officer, Dr Ulrich Bez said: "Today's Vanquish is the ultimate expression of Aston Martin design ethos, engineering innovation and technical ability. It offers luxurious, continent-crossing capability and pure driving excitement without compromise.

Aston Martin has claimed the new Vanquish is perfect for both city road conditions as well as on the highway. It went on to say the new Vanquish will cement Aston's long standing claim of being the best GT car builder.

Aston martin has worked on improving its environmental outlook through its new car. New innovations in engine technology and design have made significant reductions in emissions and fuel consumption. Aston has also said changes in the interior layout has resulted in a more spacious cabin than the DBS and even a larger boot.

The DBS has been Aston Martin's best selling car and gained popularity after it was used by the James Bond Franchise of films. James Bond now has a new car to impress us.
