Volkswagen Launches New Jetta Petrol At Rs.13.6L

Volkswagen has launched the petrol variant of the Jetta D-segment sedan with a price tag of Rs.13.6 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). We can say Volkswagen has taken a bold step considering the low demand for petrol cars arising from high petrol prices.

The new Jetta is powered by a 1.4-litre TSI engine mated with a six speed manual gearbox. The Jetta's engine can churn out 122 PS of power and 200Nm of torque. Volkswagen has launched the new Jetta petrol in two variants, the entry level Trendline priced at Rs.13.6 lakhs and the Comfortline which carries a price tag of Rs.15.07 lakhs.

Volkswagen has loaded the new Jetta with features such as alloy wheels, 205/55 R16 tyres, rear fog lights, parking sensors, dual exhaust pipes and indicators embedded in the side mirror. The interior of the new Jetta is finished in leatherette upholstery and seats. The steering wheel, gear liver, hand brake handle and rear AC vents are finished in leather.

Comfort levels in the new Volkswagen Jetta are accentuated by air conditioning with climate control, height adjustment for front seats and an eight speaker audio system.

Volkswagen which has always focused on safety equipment in its cars has equipped the new petrol Jetta with Electronic Stability Programme, six airbags, ABS, EBD, hill hold control and electronic engine immobilizer.
