Volkswagen has revealed images of the 2013 Beetle Convertible that is set to be unveiled at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. The new Beetle Convertible has retained much of its historic design theme. Here are the new Beetle Convertible's official images released by Volkswagen.
The new Beetle Convertible is expected to be available with both petrol and diesel engines. The petrol one being the 1.2-litre TSI that can generate 105bhp and the deisel engine that will power the 2012 Beetle will be the 2.0 litre TDI. For some one interested with a more powerful and aggressive performance, Volkswagen might offer the new Beetle Convertible powered by a 2 litre 200bhp petrol engine.

The new Volkswagen Beetle will pack a punch with its 2 litre 200bhp petrol engine. It will also be available with a diesel engine and another petrol engine that deliver about 105bhp.
In its press release, Volkswagen has stated: "The 2013 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible offers the perfect combination of practicality and fun for four." The new Beetle will have a canvas roof instead of a foldable hard top. The roof can be unfurled even on the move at speeds up to 30 miles per hour.
Some of the notable stylistic elements in the new Beetle Convertible are its body-coloured dashboard, stylish gauges and interior trim. The new Beetle will be a safe car to ride as it comes with a Automatic Rollover Support System, head-thorax airbags and ABS as standard.
Volkswagen has not revealed the new Beetle convertible's price, which it is expected to announce only days before its launch in the market.
