Suzuki Launches Swift X-ITE In Germany

The Maruti Suzuki Swift is a car loved by us Indians not only for its efficiency but also for its sporty looks and performance. The fact that it had a sporty variant named aptly as the Swift Sport did not even cross the minds of many people. Now here is another new Swift variant that might not even reach Indian Shores.

This exciting new Swift has been named as the Swift X-ITE edition and is available with a long list of standard features. The Swift X-ITE has been launched by Suzuki only in Germany. It is priced at 15,490 Euros (About Rs.10 Lakhs). The hatchback is available as a three door variant.

Some of the notable new features in the Swift X-ITE are as follows

17-inch alloy wheels
Roof-mounted spoiler
New rear bumper
Vinyl graphics
Modified front bumper
Extended side skirts
Stainless steel door sills
Embroidered floor mats
Aluminum gear knob

Suzuki has equipped the Swift X-ITE with a 1.2-litre petrol engine capable of generating 93bhp and has claimed a fuel economy of 20kmpl. This is by far much better that the Swift being sold in India. The Swift X-ITE is highly unlikely to be launched here in India as Maruti Suzuki is currently struggling to handle the demand for the standard Swift.

We had earlier reported about the launch of the Swift Sport in Australia. Maruti Suzuki has expressed its inability to launch new variants of the Swift considering the existing demand and waiting periods. The waiting period for the new Swift is between two months and six months.
