Mahindra Xylo Sales Cross 1 Lakh Mark

The Mahindra Xylo has been appreciated for its style, space and practicality since the day it was launched. It has been named car of the year and MPV of the year by reputed auto magazines. It now adds another cap to its illustrious career after crossing the coveted one lakh sales mark.

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. India's leading SUV manufacturer has announced that the Xylo, one of India's most popular MPVs (multipurpose vehicles), has crossed the milestone of 1 lakh plus vehicles on Indian roads. With its stylish looks and user friendly features, the Xylo has carved out a distinct place for itself within the Indian MPV segment.

With the launch of the Stylish New Xylo this year, which boasted of 50 new changes and features, the Xylo has been instrumental in providing the ‘Time of your Life' to its customers. It also includes five variants powered by three distinct engine options including the powerful 120bhp m Hawk engine. Further, a high level of customer satisfaction with the Xylo has enabled it to command a market share of 25% in FY 2012 (SIAM, UV2 Category), in the core segment of MPVs.

In the course of the journey towards 1 lakh vehicles on Indian roads, the Xylo has won several awards and accolades on the way. It has won the ‘MPV of the year' award from ET Zigwheels, ‘UV of the year' award from CNBC Overdrive and NDTV Profit. It was also awarded the ‘Family Car of the year' by BBC Top Gear. The Xylo was rated highest in ‘Customer satisfaction and best suited for urban women' in the HT Mars survey of 2010. Xylo has also entered the Limca book of records for fastest west east rally by a 4 wheel vehicle.

The Xylo has won more fans in recent times after Mahindra launched the face lifted version with new engines and cosmetic changes to the exterior design. The Xylo competes against the likes of the Toyota Innova and the Tata Aria.
