Nissan Set To Launch Evalia MPV In August

The Nissan Evalia was possibly the biggest new model launch for Nissan India during the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo. Although Nissan did bring I some of its new cars with cutting edge technology none of them can capture the Indian car market as much as the Evalia. Now the Japanese carmaker has confirmed that the Evalia will be launched in August.

The Evalia's launch in August will be a keenly watched event as the MPV market in India has shown tremendous potential and carmakers are launching new models in this segment. While the Toyota Innova, Mahindra Xylo, Chevrolet Tavera can be named as existing MPVs in the market, more MPVs are expected to be launched among which the Evalia and the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will be the most notables ones.

The Evalia is the Indian brand name given to Nissan global product – the NV200 mini van. The NV200 has been appreciated for its people carrying capability as well as its use in a commercial set up. The Evalia can be a proper upgrade for some one who has been using a Maruti Suzuki Omni. The Evalia has been modified to suite the requirements and tastes of Indian buyers.

The Evalia will soon be followed by a close that has been developed on the same platform by Ashok Leyland. Nissan and Ashok Leyland have a joint venture to build light commercial vehicles. Ashok Leyland also dislayed its version of the NV 200 at the Delhi Auto Expo called Stile.
