Is The Tata Nano The Best Petrol Car Around?
The Tata Nano has its own fare share of fans and critics. But over the recent months we have noticed a steady increase in the number of people who now feel the Nano is a better car to own rather many other small cars. The Nano with its promised mileage of 25kmpl is definitely a car that you cannot ignore considering the current fuel prices.

The Nano has been considered as predominantly a city car. But here is one person who has taken the Nano to long trips across the state of Karnataka and beyond. Ravi Kumar, a Bangalore based entrepreneur who bought the Nano's top end LX variant has enjoyed the Nano's comfort and affordability since a year.
Mr Ravi Kumar is very much please with the Nano's performance. The small car has delivered a mile age of an impressive 23kmpl during one of his long journeys. Mr Ravi said: " The Nano is very comfortable to drive even for long hours. I have traveled more than 300 kilometres in a single day and never felt any sort of discomfort. The smooth suspension delivers a very comfortable ride."
Mr Ravi Kumar is also impressed about the Nano's handling. He stated the Nano with its low turning radius is a dream to park particularly in the narrow lanes of Bangalore. The same good handling makes it nimble on highways. Speaking of highways. Mr Ravi said the Nano had delivered a mileage of 21kmpl even when the AC was on full swing during his recent trip to Mangalore in his Nano.
If the Nano can deliver a mileage of above 20kmpl on highways and just under 18 in the city roads, it is probably a better option for first time car buyers than a diesel car. Agreed, petrol prices are not very encouraging but are you ready to pay the extra Rs.1 lakh for a diesel car. If you are some one who drives regularly in the city and also wish to take the car out for some trips, the Nano is the car you can choose without worrying much.
