Ford Celebrates One Lakh Figo Sales
Figo's one lakh sales is a clear indication of the hatchback's success. This sales story is not just a fluke. The Figo is well equipped and delivers excellent performance.
The design of the Figo follows Ford's Global Kinetic Design philosophy. The exterior design is accentuated by streaky side repeater lamps, raising belt line, door lines, grille-less front, wide open trapezoidal lower grille, wrap-around head lamps and stylish tail lamps. The Figo's interior is themed on corals. The instrument panels are finished in vibrant colours.

The Figo is powered by a 1.2 Duratec Petrol engine capable of generating 71 PS @ 6250rpm. and 102 Nm of torque at 4000rpm. The Figo's diesel engine is the 1.4 Duratorq engine that churns out 69PS at 4000rpm and 160 Nm of torque at 2000rpm. Such power makes the Figo an ideal hatchback for both city and highway driving.
The Figo has been a sales success for its superb handling and responsiveness. It has a steering system that is light and precise. The suspension has been optimised to deliver a smooth ride with little body roll. The handling is also improved by the aerodynamic design.
Aided by Ford's excellent post sale service the Figo has emerged as the American carmaker's best selling car in India. Ford claims the Figo has the lowest possible scheduled and non-scheduled service costs.
