India Get Ready For the Flying Car: Terrafugia

Priced at $279,000, the Terrafugia Transition will be available for sale in America by the end of next year. The car has foldable wings that need to be extended to make it a flying car. The transition from a car to the plane happens in just 30 seconds, which is as much time a foldable rood in a convertible needs to be unfurled or closed.
Carl Dietrich, co-founder of Terrafugia is on a visit to India as a delegate to the Goa Think Fest. While speaking to media persons, he has indicated that India is also a potential market for the Transition. He is also looking at emerging markets such as China and Brazil.
The Transition Flying car is not for everybody. First things first, it is quite expensive, costing more than a crore. Further you need to have a proper pilot license to use the car. Built using light materials, the transition can fly for up to 460 miles on a full tank of fuel at 110mph.
The flying car already has an Indian buyer who is waiting to get clearance from Indian authorities. There are at least hundred people who have booked this car already according to Mr Dietrich.
