Volkswagen Touareg: luxury meets quality

The Touareg's ABSplus system, developed and patented by Volkswagen, is a world first. It detects loose surfaces such as sand or gravel and shortens the braking distance by up to 20% by means of controlled locking of the brakes.
Unique features like the Electronic Stabilisation Program (ESP), the Eletronic Differential Lock (EDL) and Traction Control System (TCS) provide the most comfortable and smooth off-road drive.
The Touareg has had a facelift, and that is easy to see from the chrome-look, shield-shaped radiator grille that is typical of Volkswagen. The redesign also includes the now more organically shaped headlight housings - with the option of bi-xenon headlights with cornering light. The "Climatronic" climate control module monitors the quality of the air inside the vehicle by means of an air quality sensor. When you enter a tunnel it automatically switches to recirculated air mode. In the Touareg, the "Climatronic" air conditioning system, featuring 4-zone temperature control, is included as standard. Air quantity and air distribution can be adjusted individually for all four seats.
Touareg is equipped with a self-leveling air suspension with ride height adjustment and continuous, speed-dependent electronic damping control gives the Touareg unique on and off-road qualities. For example, it raises the ground clearance of the vehicle up to as much as 300 millimetres in order to clear extreme unevenness. The body can be lowered by as much as 140 millimetres for ease of loading and unloading.
The available alloys are 8 J x 18 "Valley" alloy wheel, with size 255 tyre and 9 J x 19 "Terra" alloy wheel, with size 275 tyre. The upholstery is available in 2 leather trims - Cricket and Napa, with different colour options - Anthracite, Crystal Grey, Sioux, Latte Macchiato and Pure Beige.

The 6-speed automatic transmission featuring the Dynamic Shift Program (DSP) learns its driver's gear-shifting habits and adapts itself accordingly. How sporty or comfortable the ride is decided by you alone.
