Palio Stile Multijet With Much Awaited Multijet Engine
Fiat India Automobiles has launched the latest Palio Stile with the much awaited Multijet diesel engine. The Palio Stile is the current car from Fiat's stable in India which is currently available in 2 petrol versions 1.1L and 1.6L Sport. The company, a joint venture between Fiat and Tata Motors, is strengthening the fleet by adding latest models.
Fiat Palio now comes with the 'Multijet' advantage. Based on 178 platform, the car is developed on the basis of a proposal from Idea Institute of Turin. The Aerodynamic shape is accompanied with Clean lines and fresh Styling. Multijet is the next generation of the Common Rail Diesel Technology.
The Multijet engine in the Palio Stile will make the car significantly more powerful and noiseless than any other similar car in the market. Plus the car offers more mileage and very little emission. Of course, smooth drives apart, the new Palio Stile comes packed with several features to make it not just a smart looking car but also a smart buy.
The plush new interiors, the attractive new front grills, a lovely choice of colours... Palio Stile will defy all the competitors.
Coming to the technical aspects the engine type is diesel 4 cylinder Multijet with displacement of 1248 cc. DOHC technology with 4 valves per cylinder makes the car a powerful one. The car generates a maximum power of 75 PS at 4000 rpm. It creates a torque of 184 Nm at 2000 rpm. CRDI technology is incorporated with the fuel system.
Transmission is manual 5 gear. Front suspension comes with Independent Wheel, MacPherson type with lower wishbone anchored to cross member, coil springs, stabilizing bar and telescopic dual effect shock absorbers, while rear suspension is fixed with torsion axle, coil springs, stabilising bar and telescopic dual effect shock absorbers.
Front Brakes are ventilated discs and rear brakes uses drums which are self adjusting type. Rack and pinion power steering provides easy handling and driving comfort. To add to the pleasure the tyres are tubeless 165 / 80 R13. Over all length of the car is 3827mm, width 1620mm and height 1440mm. Wheelbase is 2373mm. 260 - 950 liters of boot capacity gives enough storage room. Kerb Weight of the car is 1065 kg.
Other features include tachometer, low fuel warning lamp, 12 V acessory socket, cup holders, remote fuel lid opener, central locking, remote tail gate opener, power windows front, power windows rear with child lock, digital clock etc...
The car also comes with few unique features like Double Crank Prevention System which is a unique engine guard system that prevents re cranking of the engine when already on, Reverse Gear Lock which prevents any accidental engagement of reverse gear and External Door Lock System which won't let you lock yourself out even by mistake.
