MotoGP is the highest form of motorcycle racing and has the best riders from all over the world, racing for the most reputed teams. Each team has impacted the sport in their own way, paving the way for them to grow and reach new highs.

This level of motorcycle racing has had its roots since 1949, and it was only in 2002 that the FIM declared the new era of motorsports, MotoGP. With the start of MotoGP, we saw the litre-class, four-stroke bikes, elbow-down cornering, and the end of the 2-stroke 500cc bikes.

Repsol Honda Team

Honda's MotoGP legacy is one of the most profound, with the likes of Mick Doohan, Casey Stoner, Valentino Rossi, Marc Marquez, and others, piloting their machines at this level. Honda, through the years, has come out on top 10 times in the Constructors' Championship, since 2002.

Repsol Honda closely works with the riders and engineers of the team, to deliver a machine with peak performance and reliability. However, off late, Honda hasn't been doing too well, with Marc Marquez's frequent injuries.

Yamaha Factory Racing Team

Yamaha's Factory Racing team is also one of the richest teams in MotoGP, in terms of history and success. They've had riders such as Wayne Rainey, Eddie Lawson, Jorge Lorenzo, and Valentino Rossi as a part of their team, securing 7 Constructors' Championships, since 2002.

Yamaha has a strong focus on manufacturing competitive vehicles, regardless of the platform. In MotoGP, Yamaha has had strong success, but, due to inconsistent riders, they haven't been performing well.

Ducati Factory Racing Team

Ducati is known for its quick and aggressive machines, paired with apt riders to get the most out of the bike. Since 2002, the team has won 8 Constructors' Trophies with some great names astride its machines - Casey Stoner, Jorge Lorenzo, Andrea Dovizioso, Francesco Bagnaia, and more.

Ducati, during Casey Stoner's time, was just getting their footing in the game. Stoner massively helped Ducati by beating the great Valentino Rossi and winning the championship. Now, Ducati is doing wonders, with 4 teams opting for the bike. Their bike is currently the fastest on the grid.

MV Agusta

When MotoGP was just making its mark on the world, MV Agusta was making its mark on the track. They were leagues ahead of other competitors in the 1950s and '60s and won an astonishing 37 manufacturers' titles. Their bike had great success being ridden by the infamous Giacomo Agostini.

MV Agusta, now, does not race in the MotoGP and was recently dropped as a manufacturer by Forward Racing in Moto2 before the start of the 2023 season. However, they still hold the title of the most successful European Motorcycle Manufacturer of all time.
