SWM Superdual India Launch Details Revealed
SWM Motorcycles is all set to launch the Superdual adventure motorcycle in the Indian market.
Italian motorcycle manufacturer SWM is all set to introduce the Superdual adventure motorcycle in the Indian market. CarandBike reports that the motorcycle will be launched in the country in early 2018.
The SWM Superdual will be marketed by MotoRoyale, the Kinetic-owned premium motorcycle division which also retails the MV Agusta motorcycles in India.
Managing Director of Kinetic Group, Ajinkya Firodia said that the SWM Superdual would be launched in India by next three or four months. He also revealed that the adventure motorcycle would be priced under Rs 6 lakh and the company expects it to be a hit in the country.
The SWM Superdual is a light and nimble adventure motorcycle which draws power from a 600cc single-cylinder engine producing 54bhp and 53.5Nm of torque. The engine is based on the old Husqvarna TE610 enduro motorcycle.

The SWM Superdual does not feature any electronic aids such as traction control, multiple riding modes and ride-by-wire throttle. The motorcycle is based on the tubular steel chassis and aluminium swingarm borrowed from Husqvarna.
Despite missing out on the modern electronic riding aids, the SWM Superdual is equipped with premium components such as Brembo calipers, Fast Ace forks, Sachs shock, LED headlights and optional hard luggage in the form of panniers.
The SWM Superdual also features long-travel suspension, high ground clearance and an 18-litre fuel tank. The kerb weight of the motorcycle stands at 186kg which makes it a nimble machine to ride in challenging conditions.
SWM might not be a well-known brand, especially in India. It is an Italian company which started manufacturing enduro, motocross and off-road motorcycles since 1970s. Currently, SWM has 12 different models in its product portfolio ranging from 125cc to 600cc.
DriveSpark Thinks!
The adventure motorcycle segment is booming in the Indian market. Several manufacturers such as KTM and BMW Motorrad are already planning to launch off-road motorcycles. Now, SWM plans to introduce the Superdual in the country. The key factor for the success of the Superdual will be the sales and service network of MotoRoyale.
