Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 Spotted With Chrome Fuel Tank
The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 has been spotted with a chrome finished fuel tank in the US.
Royal Enfield unveiled its two new 650cc motorcycles the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650 at the recently concluded 2017 EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy.
Now, Rushlane has spotted both the motorcycles during an advertisement shoot in California. But the interesting part is that the Interceptor 650 was equipped with a chrome fuel tank.
The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 draws power from an all-new 648cc fuel injected, parallel-twin engine producing 46.3bhp and 52Nm of peak torque. The engine is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox.
Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 was finished in an Ice Queen colour, whereas the Interceptor 650 was equipped with a chrome finished fuel tank which is not present on the official website. The company might be planning to introduce a new chrome variant of the Interceptor for the global markets. The tank also features a 3D RE logo.

Royal Enfield states that the new 650cc motorcycles are developed for highway cruising and being a twin-cylinder engine, the exhaust note will reflect the character of the motorcycles.
The Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650 features slipper clutch and ABS. Royal Enfield has revealed that the technical specifications will remain the same throughout the global markets.
The suspension duties on the Royal Enfield twins are handled by telescopic forks up front and twin gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear. Bringing the motorcycle to a halt are the 320mm disc at the front and 240mm disc at the rear with ABS.
Royal Enfield will introduce both the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 in April 2018. Both the motorcycles will be first launched in the European markets before heading to India.

The new 650cc Interceptor and Continental GT will be a game-changing products for Royal Enfield. The new twin-cylinder motorcycles will be marketed as an affordable alternative to its rivals such as Harley-Davidson and Triumph Motorcycles. When launched in India, expect the motorcycles to be priced around Rs 4 lakh. Apart from that Royal Enfield is also developing several other products based on the three new platforms.
