The Renault Triber is the latest entrant from the French carmaker in the Indian market. The sub-4 metre MPV was globally premiered in India back in June 2019 and was launched recently.
The Renault Triber comes with a completely fresh design, different from the previous models on offer by the brand in the country. Starting from the front, the Triber MPV comes with a large front grille, with a thin chrome strip.
The grille is flanked on either side by projector headlamps with integrated turn signals. The LED DRLs are positioned lower down on the front bumper, with C-shaped chrome housing. The bumper also comes with a large central air intake and silver scuff plates, offering a rugged look.
The side and rear profile of the Triber offer a clean and simplistic look. The side profile is characterised by the subtle shoulder lines, 14-inch dual-tone wheels and the faux roof rails on top. The rear profile also features a clean and simplistic design with sleek taillights and faux scuff plates on the rear bumper as well.
Moving inside, the Renault Triber comes with a dual-tone cabin made of black and beige. The dashboard comes in the same dual-tone theme, along with silver accents adding to the premiumness of the MPV. The digital instrument cluster and the large infotainment display on the centre console adds to the upmarket feel of the Triber.
The Renault Triber is offered with a single engine option. This includes a 1.0-litre petrol engine producing 72bhp and 96Nm of peak torque; mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. Renault is said to introduce an AMT automatic transmission at a later stage. The Triber currently uses a BS-IV compliant engine, which will also be updated closer to the emission norms deadline.
The Renault Triber comes with a single petrol engine offering. This petrol engine is said to return a fuel efficiency figure of 20km/l (ARAI-Certified). With a fuel tank capacity of 40-litres, the Triber MPV is able to offer a range of 600km on a full tank of fuel.
The Renault Triber comes packed with features and equipment for a car in its price range. This includes a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, LED Instrument cluster, cooled storage, smart access keycard, push-button start/stop, keyless entry, AC vents on the 2nd and 3rd row, electrically-adjustable ORVMs, HVAC and much more.
In terms of safety features, the Renault Triber comes with ABS and EBD, dual airbags, rear parking sensors, pedestrian protection, speed alert warning, seat-belt reminder, speed sensing door lock and impact sensing door unlock; among others.
The Renault Triber is perfectly suited for car buyers looking for something more than a hatchback in a budget price range. The compact-MPV offers plenty of space, features and even performance.
