The vehicle this time is not the i10 or some other family car, but the company's high-end luxury model, Genesis. There's no change in the 2014 Hyundai Genesis actually, but the development is the debut of the Hyundai Blue Link app for Google Glass.

Hyundai Blue Link is a smartphone app that provides Hyundai owners with car related information such as status of the vehicle, push notifications concerning maintenance, the ability to place a call for appointment with the nearest dealer etc,. The app even lets users control certain functions of the car remotely.

Hyundai has now modified the same app to be compatible with Google Glass. The Hyundai Blue Link Google Glass app is suited to the device's small screen as the UI makes use of specially designed "cards" to display information. As of now, the Google Glass version of the app only works with the Genesis.

"Wearables are a great way to extend the experience outside of the vehicle by leveraging those small screens to quickly access remote features and delivery timely vehicle information," Hyundai Motor America executive director, Customer Connect and Service Business Development Barry Ratzlaff said.

Hyundai has thus become the first car manufacturing company to offer an app on Google Glass. But we wonder how many Genesis owners own Google Glasses. We won't be surprised if there are none.
