Ford Intros Bacon Wrap Graphics For Fiesta Ahead Of Int’l Bacon Day
This is fast turning out to be custom car wrap week here at Drivespark. Wondering what we are talking about? First came the woolen sweater wrapped Beetle, then the Gold plated Cadillac, followed by the leather wrapped Peugeot from Russia. Now comes the strangest of them all. Bacon wrapped Ford Fiesta. And this is not the work of some enthusiast with an odd personal taste but Ford itself.
Ford has announced custom bacon vinyl graphics for its Fiesta hatchbacks in the U.S in anticipation of International Bacon Day (who knew!) which is on 31st August. Bacon lovers can cheer. The vinyl graphics will be available in five options.

The most extensive and the one purists should go for is "Bacon Wrap" graphics that covers the entire Fiesta.

Bacon Racing Strips - two pieces of bacon that go on the car's hood and resemble classic dual racing stripes.

Side of Bacon - two individual strips of bacon that wrap over rear wheel - popular among those on a diet.

If you think that is strange and are wondering why anyone would want to make their Fiesta look like bacon you might be wrong. Allan Benton, CEO of Benton's Country Hams, who is also known as the "King of Bacon" among venerable food writers and chefs believes "there will be some real excitement among the young city crowd."

"It's no secret that bacon inspires a lot of passion, and that's what the Fiesta celebrates," said Liz Elser, Ford Fiesta marketing manager. "Our customers have a hunger for self-expression. Plus, it's just awesome to drive down the road in a piece of bacon." Those interested can customise their Ford Fiesta by visiting www.fordcustomgraphics.com.
