Volkswagen ID Polo Unveiled — 454 km Range
German carmaker Volkswagen has revealed the Volkswagen ID Polo, the fully electric version of its Polo hatchback, - a model with over 20 million units sold globally. Built on the MEB+ platform, the new Volkswagen ID Polo hatchback marks the first production model to carry the brand's new Pure Positive design language.

At launch in Germany, the Volkswagen ID Polo is available in Trend, Life, and Style trims. The 155 kW Life variant is priced from €33,795 in Germany.

The base 85 kW/99 kW variant - starting from €24,995 - along with additional powertrain options, will follow in summer 2026. No India launch timeline has been announced.
Volkswagen ID Polo - Powertrain, Battery Packs & Dimensions
Three output levels are on offer with the new Volkswagen ID Polo: 85kW (114bhp), 99kW (132.7bhp), and 155kW (208bhp). The 85 kW and 99 kW variants use a 37 kWh LFP battery with a WLTP range of up to 329 km; the 155 kW version gets a 52 kWh NMC unit with a range of up to 454 km.

Both battery optionsfor the Volkswagen ID Polo support DC fast charging as standard. The 37 kWh pack charges from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 23 minutes; the 52 kWh unit completes the same charge in around 24 minutes.
The Volkswagen ID Polo measures 4,053 mm long, 1,816 mm wide, and 1,530 mm tall, with a 2,600 mm wheelbase. Boot capacity stands at 441 litres - up 25 percent over the combustion Polo's 351 litres - expanding to 1,240 litres with rear seats folded.

Volkswagen ID Polo - Design & Features
The front carries connected LED headlights with distinctive DRLs and an illuminated VW logo. The C-pillar design draws from the original Golf. Alloy wheels are available up to 19 inches, and the rear gets a wraparound LED light bar with an illuminated VW badge.
A 26 cm (10-inch) Digital Cockpit sits on the driver's visual axis, paired with a 32.77 cm (13-inch) Innovision infotainment touchscreen. Physical buttons are retained. The Style trim adds IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights, sport comfort seats, two-zone climate control, and seat heating.

Optional equipment includes a 425-watt Harman Kardon audio system with ten speakers, a panoramic glass roof, 12-way electrically adjustable front seats with pneumatic massage, and a memory function for the driver's seat.
Vehicle-to-load charging comes standard, allowing up to 3.6 kW output via a 230V interior socket - useful for e-bikes or outdoor equipment. An optional next-gen Connected Travel Assist with automatic traffic light recognition is a first for the segment.
