Skoda Epiq Electric SUV Production Started in Spain

The vehicle has now entered the production phase at Volkswagen Group's manufacturing facility in Spain. Soon, the Volkswagen ID.Polo will also join the assembly line, which currently produces models such as the Taigo and T-Cross.
The Skoda Epiq is expected to be the brand's most affordable EV, with a starting price of around €26,000 (approximately Rs 28 lakh, ex-showroom). It is powered by a 55kWh battery pack, producing 155kW of power and 290Nm of torque. The Epiq offers a claimed driving range of up to 441km and a top speed of 160km/h.

On the inside, the Epiq features Skoda's signature two-spoke steering wheel, a 13.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, four fast-charging USB Type-C ports, ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and a spacious 475-litre boot. It also supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
In terms of safety, the electric SUV comes equipped with seven airbags, ABS, ESC, drive mode selection, LED Matrix headlamps, regenerative braking, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and dedicated physical controls for the air-conditioning system.
The Epiq will be among Skoda's key electric vehicles in Europe, with the brand also preparing to expand its EV portfolio through models such as the larger Elroq and the upcoming Vision 7S-based electric SUV. There is also speculation that Skoda could consider introducing the Epiq to markets like India in the future, where compact urban EVs are expected to see growing demand.
