Tata Sierra To Be Revealed Today - Here's What To Expect
Tata Motors will reveal the all-new Sierra in India later today, marking the return of one of the brand's most recognisable nameplates in a new-generation format after over two decades away from our roads.
The Sierra features a tall and upright stance inspired by the original model, but Tata has reworked the design into a more modern SUV profile. The front features a full-width LED light bar and a cleaner grille section, paired with sharper body lines that match the brand's latest design direction. The trademark Sierra Alpine window glasshouse returns with a more refined execution.

Earlier previews have also confirmed the production-ready interior, which now carries a triple-screen layout. A digital instrument cluster sits behind the steering, while the centre console houses a larger infotainment system supported by a separate passenger-side display.
Tata has made noticeable changes to the seat design, adding better cushioning and more contoured bolstering to improve long-distance comfort. Feature highlights already confirmed include a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, connected-car technology and ventilated seats, along with ambient lighting that extends across the dashboard. Tata is also equipping the Sierra with Level-2 ADAS functions, a 360-degree camera and a full safety suite that includes multiple airbags and electronic stability control.

The only major detail not disclosed yet is the final engine lineup, which Tata is expected to announce during today's reveal. The Sierra is expected to offer a brand new 1.5-litre petrol engine in both naturally aspirated and turbocharged guises. The latter was revealed at Auto Expo 2025 and pushes out 170hp and 280Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine is expected to be borrowed from the Currv, while the electric variant could take its battery packs from the larger Harrier EV.
Dealerships have already begun taking early bookings as interest for the Sierra builds ahead of the pricing announcement. Tata will position the Sierra between the Curvv and Harrier in its lineup, targeting a buyer profile that wants premium cabin space, strong design presence and more features than a traditional compact SUV.

The new Sierra is expected to take on rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti Grand Vitara, while the EV version will compete with models like the MG ZS EV and upcoming midsize electric SUVs from multiple brands.
Tata Motors will announce the pricing on 25 November 2025 and we expect the petrol and diesel versions will fall between ₹12.5 lakh and ₹18 lakh, depending on the variant and equipment levels. The electric Sierra is expected to sit between ₹20 lakh and ₹25 lakh (all prices mentioned are ex-showroom) based on the battery configuration.
