Hyundai Secures Impressive 1-2 Finish At Mid-Ohio, Strengthening Championship Position
Hyundai Motor America celebrated a significant achievement at the 2025 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. The team secured a 1-2 finish at the O'Reilly Auto Parts Four Hours of Mid-Ohio, marking their fourth consecutive victory this season. Mason Filippi and Harry Gottsacker led the No. 98 Hyundai Elantra N TCR to victory, dominating with 111 laps in first place.
The race began with Hyundai cars prominently positioned at the front. Filippi and Gottsacker started in second, while Eric Powell and Tyler Gonzalez in the No. 99 car were third. Mark Wilkins and Bryson Morris in the No. 33 car began in fourth place. The No. 99 quickly advanced to lead within ten minutes.

By the three-hour mark, the No. 98 had taken control of the race, with the No. 99 holding third place and Madison Aust and Suellio Almeida in the No. 9 moving into fourth position. As time progressed, Filippi and Gottsacker maintained their lead.
The final hour saw Denis Dupont and Preston Brown drive from eleventh to second place in the No. 76 car, securing a valuable finish for Bryan Herta Autosport (BHA). Wilkins and Morris recovered to finish fourth after their initial setback.
Lance Bergstein and Jon Miller made notable progress, climbing from thirteenth to fifth place in their No. 18 entry. Meanwhile, Aust and Almeida gained two spots to secure sixth place by race end.
