F50 Legacy Tour 2025 Concludes With Celebratory Parade In Maranello

The F50 Legacy Tour 2025, a special event for Ferrari F50 owners, concluded this weekend. Over three days, more than 20 teams from 10 countries drove 675 km through Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna. The journey began at Saturnia's thermal baths and passed through Grosseto, Porto Santo Stefano, and Siena before reaching Maranello on 9 July.

Participants had the unique chance to meet Paolo Martinelli, the engineer behind the F50's V12 engine. This engine is a significant technological transfer from Formula 1 to Ferrari road cars. The event ended with a parade and an honorary lap on Fiorano Circuit, where Ferraris have been developed since 1972.

The F50 was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 1995 to mark Ferrari’s fiftieth anniversary. It was the first Prancing Horse supercar with a naturally aspirated V12 engine derived from Formula 1. This engine was placed in a longitudinal mid-rear position within a carbon fibre monocoque chassis.

For the tour, Pirelli crafted a special version of its P Zero Corsa System tyres for the F50s. These tyres featured the "Ferrari F50 – Legacy Tour 2025" logo. Available in sizes 245/35 R18 front and 335/30 R18 rear, they are part of Pirelli's Collezione range for iconic classic cars.

The P Zero Corsa System ensures high stability at speed and in corners, suitable for track use. Its directional front and asymmetric rear tread patterns help prevent aquaplaning. Modern compounds make these tyres safer while maintaining their sporty character.

F50's Technical Brilliance

The F50 features a V12 engine with five valves per cylinder as an integral part of its chassis. Advanced aerodynamics and horizontally mounted push-rod dampers enhance its performance. The car also has a removable Targa top roof for a race-like driving experience.

With no ABS or power-assisted steering, only 349 units were produced—one less than market demand. The F50 measures 4480 mm in length, 1986 mm in width, and has a wheelbase of 2580 mm. It weighs 1230 kg dry and can reach speeds up to 325 km/h.

This historic gathering highlighted the enduring passion of F50 owners and showcased the car's reliability even after three decades since production ended. Participants covered nearly 15,000 km collectively during this memorable event celebrating Ferrari's legacy.
