2025 Skoda Kodiaq L&K Vs Sportline: Differences Explained
The 2025 Skoda Kodiaq, a flagship SUV in India, is available in two variants: Sportline and L&K (Laurin and Klement). Both share the same powertrain but differ significantly in exterior and interior features. The price list for these variants will be announced today (April 17). Let's explore the differences between these two versions of the Skoda SUV.
Exterior Design
The Sportline and L&K trims of the Kodiaq have distinct exterior styling. The Sportline features a blacked-out look on the front grille, wing mirrors, roof rails, D-pillar, and tailgate lettering. In contrast, the L&K variant uses chrome accents in these areas, with brushed silver roof rails. Additionally, it includes a horizontal LED strip within the grille that connects the headlights.

Both trims come with 18-inch alloy wheels as standard. However, they differ in design; the Sportline has a sporty look while the L&K features aero-style covers. The taillights are smoked out on the Sportline but remain clear on the L&K. Rear bumper designs also vary: checkered for Sportline and plain for L&K.
Interior Features & Comfort
Inside, both variants offer a 10.25-inch driver's display and a 13-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. They also include configurable rotary dials with displays, a wireless charger, three-zone AC, power-adjustable front seats with memory function, panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, park assist, ABS with EBD, ESC, and nine airbags.
The upholstery differs between variants; Cognac leather is used in the L&K while Sportline opts for all-black interiors. The L&K also provides massaging front seats with heating and cooling functions; Sportline offers only heating.

Engine Specifications
Underneath its hood, the new Kodiaq SUV houses a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 202.5bhp and 320Nm of torque. This engine pairs with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) that powers all four wheels. Skoda claims an ARAI mileage of 14.86km/l for this TSI engine which is also found in Volkswagen's recently launched Tiguan R-Line.
DriveSpark Thinks
While both Kodiaq variants share some common features like alloy wheels or touchscreen displays - their differences lie primarily within exterior detailing or interior comforts such as upholstery choices or seat functionalities.
