Tata Curvv Highlights That Are Worth Knowing: Powertrain Options, Features, ADAS & More
Tata Motors is gearing up to introduce the Curvv in India on August 7, 2024. This new model will be one of the first mass-market coupe SUVs in the country, positioned as an alternative to popular midsize SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Honda Elevate.
Tata Curvv: Powertrain
The Tata Curvv will offer 3 engine options. It is said to include a 120hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and a 115hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine shared with the Tata Nexon. Additionally, Tata's new 1.2-litre three-cylinder direct-injection turbo-petrol engine will make its debut, producing 125hp and 225Nm of torque.

Tata Curvv EV
Tata will initially launch the Tata Curvv EV in the Indian market. The Curvv EV's lower variants are anticipated to share the Nexon EV LR's 40.5kWh battery pack, while higher trims will have a 55kWh unit. The top-spec variants are also speculated to have a range of around 600km.
Tata Curvv: Features
The latest updates indicate that the Tata Curvv will come equipped with a four-spoke steering wheel from Harrier (with modifications), a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a fully digital driver's display.

Other features include a segment-first powered tailgate with gesture function, a panoramic sunroof, reclining rear seats, ventilated front seats, and more. The top-spec variants will also offer ADAS Level 2 safety technology.
Tata Curvv: Dimensions and Space
Based on the Nexon platform but slightly larger, the Tata Curvv will be 313mm longer than the compact SUV with a wheelbase extended by 62mm. This increase in size should provide better legroom compared to the Nexon; however, its sloping roofline might reduce headroom at the back. The added length also results in an extra 118 litres of boot space over Nexon's 382 litres.

Tata Curvv: Potential Pricing Details
Prices for both the standard Tata Curvv and its electric variant will be announced on August 7, 2024. The EV version is expected to start around Rs 20 lakh, positioning it between the Nexon EV and the upcoming Harrier EV. Petrol versions could begin from Rs 10 lakh-11 lakh onwards.
