Subaru Refreshes Leadership Team With New Appointments And Announces VP Retirements
Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA) has announced significant changes to its executive leadership team. Aurelian Sin will take on the role of vice president and chief information officer (CIO), Tim Stallings will become vice president of retailer development, and Theresa Zohlman will step into the position of vice president and chief financial officer (CFO).
Ken L'Esperance, the current vice president and CFO, will retire on August 2nd. Scott McKessy, the current vice president of market development, will also retire on August 23rd. Both executives leave after decades of dedicated service to Subaru.
Sin's new role as CIO involves leading the strategy formulation, development, and cross-functional delivery of Subaru’s IT portfolio. He previously served as vice president of IT at Tenneco in both Europe and the United States.
Stallings has been with Subaru since 1995 and is being promoted from his position as director of the Los Angeles zone. As vice president of retailer development, he will focus on strategic direction for Subaru’s retail organization and reinforcing the Subaru Love Promise.
Zohlman joined Subaru in 2020 and will now lead the automaker’s accounting, finance, risk management, internal audit, and tax teams as CFO. She aims to drive data-based decision-making to improve profitability and performance.
L'Esperance joined Subaru in 1987 and made significant contributions throughout his career. He developed key relationships with JPMorgan Chase and Subaru Motors Finance, navigated the company through the Great Recession as director of corporate finance, and managed operations during the pandemic as CFO.
McKessy joined SOA in 2008 and held several leadership roles in sales before becoming VP of market development. He played a crucial role in expanding the dealer network, modernizing retailer facilities, and evolving operations during a period of significant sales growth.
